(K)night Rider

People often come to us with the question "Can you do this" or "Is this possible?" Well, we have never been known to say no to a challenge and here is a recent example we were asked to create for one of our dental clients. It's one thing to create what they ask us to and another to make it even better than they thought was possible.

OK....so we would have like to have shot our own street scene, however, the client already obtained a stock photo for us to use. The challenge here is to drop their product into it and keep it looking as real as possible.

Here is our final image of the product. Obviously, keeping the mood of the sunset was critical in making this look real.

It wasn't as easy as outlining the product, blending in the light from the hand piece, and dropping it in the stock shot.  We wanted to give the shot a sense of movement, shadows had to be added, the text required manipulation, and some parts of the stock shot needed changed as well.

Here is what we came up with

We dubbed this "Night Rider." It's pretty cool if we don't say so ourselves. Take a look at the final ad.

Again, in the end everything from the photography (except the stock shot of course) to the compositing of the final image was all done in house here at Pictureboy. We had fun doing it and as always thanks for looking.
